Sermon:

Today our pastor preached out of 1st Peter chapter 1:1-2. The title was; "The Gospel For Suffering Saints"

It was about Peter, a sinful man just like us, and how God chose him to be his messenger to the Gentiles and/or Jews and what he wanted to communicate to his audience.
We also talked about God's grace and peace.
It was very comforting to think on how grace is giving us what we don't deserve, and how he gives peace to his people when they need it the most. Our Lord is so gracious to his people! It makes you want to leap and sing praises to his name!

Have a blessed Sabbath!

Delayed days 6-7: (and an elegant hair do tutorial)

Well, things came up and I could not blog again! This month has been very crazy for the Edmondson family :)

Day 6:

A brown shirt from Hollister (I got a lot of shirts from Hollister from a friend ;D )
A blue sweat jacket
A blue, brown and white spring skirt.

I made up this hair style a while back. It's soooo easy and fun.  Quite elegant too if you dress it up.

Make sure that your hair is a bit damp. It makes handling your hair less irritating and frizzy :)
Separate your hair into two low pig tales.
3. Next twist the pig tales up, and tuck them into a bun. It does not have to look pretty.

4. With little clips, clip up the loose ends, and the bun. It should turn out like this.
Enjoy!!!! :0 :) :D ;)

Day 5 Delayed

Sorry about the delay! I got sick. :( Oh well, here is a picture for day 5 anyways.

I was wearing my brown homemade skirt, a white undershirt with a blue tank top over that, and I had my hair down and back on one side. :)

(wow!  what a weird face I've got going on!) :P

Feelin Feminine Day 4:

Day 4:

  • I have a brown and white flower shirt from Hollister.
  • A white t-shirt under that.
  • My favorite homemade brown skirt.
  • And my hair is in braids of two different kinds-French and inside out. :) :D

My Mom's friend was experimenting on my hair how to do a french braid and an inside out braid, so I don't know how to do it, else I would tell you guys how.
The braid on the left is a french one, and the one on the right is the inside out one.

Day 3 of the Feelin Feminine Challange:

Please be in prayer for Caelen. She woke up with a stomach bug this Beautiful Sunday morning. Mom, Dad and the boys all went to church, and I volunteered to stay home with her. She does not feel well at all! Any ways, whenever we have to stay home from church, we usually turn on John Piper. A pastor that we really respect from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He preaches at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Today I read one of his sermons called, 'Being Loved by Christ.' http://www.desiringgod.org/ResourceLibrary/Sermons/ByTopic/56/2995_Being_Loved_by_Christ/

You can find a whole lot of his other sermons on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=john+piper&aq=f

Day 3:
Since I stayed home from church today, I decided to wear casual so that I could be comfortable while tending to Caelen. :( I'm all blue today :)
  • A blue t-shirt from Hollister
  • A quarter length jacket from No Boundaries
  • A Jean skirt (I got it for my birthday 2 months ago:)
  • And I'm wearing my hair the same as yesterday.

Hey I know I didn't say any thing about it when I made it, but I just remembered to tell everybody that I have another blog called, "You can't judge a book by it's cover."
It's just my reading list for this year. So far I've only done 3 book reviews.
Blessings,
Hannah

("you can't judge a book by it's cover" blog is now deleted.  Sorry guys)

Day 2

Day 2! I'm sooo excited!

Alrighty.....I have here a pink and brown plaid skirt. I got from Goodwill so when I looked at the tag to see where it was from, the only thing that I could find was: 'Dry Clean Only!' (:D)
My shirt is a brown v-neck with a white under shirt.

And my hair is in a Saturday quick up do:
All you do is make a high pony tale and put a large clip in where your rubber band would usually go. Then you let your hair fall around the clip. Very fun! (I like to put a hair band in to keep the little sprigs from going crazy :)

Feeli'n Feminine Challange Day 1:

So. . . I checked out the Feeli'n Feminine website and found their challenge to wear skirts for a week. I wear skirts often, but I thought that this was an excellent idea, so I'm trying it.

Day 1:
*Purple plaid quarter length shirt (Hand-me-down)

*Brown homemade quarter-roy skirt. I love it! :)

*And my hair is in a pony tale, but I didn't get a picture of that one. :(

Arival of Easter Chicks!

Ok.........So Mom and Dad ordered 5 more silkie bantams for Easter, right?
Well when the chicks arrived, I felt the box and I thought that there were definitely more than just 5 little chicks in there. 6 or 7 maybe. When we opened it, all of our mouths dropped open. 20 chicks! No way! We only ordered 5! Well I guess they didn't want our silkies to get cold on the trip to Marion. No seriously! There were 6 silkies, and 14 other unknowns. We couldn't believe it!
So we have decided to name all of the unknowns fillers, and the silkies each have various names. They are all cute though. Chicken anyone?

Happy Easter Bloggy Friends!!!!

(picture from google)

Easter is one of the most important holidays of the year! The day that our savior was resurrected from the grave. The celebration of new life! I love Easter because of Jesus' resurrection, the fresh feeling of spring, all of the little animals that are born in the spring, flowers blooming, being with family and friends, and going to church with my family. I hope all of my blogger friends enjoy their Easter today.
We plan to go on a hike to Catawba Falls with the cousins after lunch. Fun! Hikes are a great way to spend the Sabbath because you get to be in God's creation.
Love,
Hannah

PS... Sorry this post is late! I wrote it on Easter, but I'm publishing it today. My Uncle David took pictures of the hike. It was beautiful! I'll have to ask him to send them to me.
I've kind of let down on blogging lately, so I've decided to make Sunday afternoons my 'blog day'. That's when I'm most free :)
Thanks again for your patience!
